Lisa represents business owners in business planning and formation, buy-sell agreements, acquisitions, contract disputes, employee matters, and organizational audits. Her clients also include lenders and not-for-profit organizations. Lisa further represents individuals, businesses, and nonprofits in real estate transactions including purchases, sales, leasing, planned use development, neighborhood covenants, and financing. She has successfully closed more than 250 transactions ranging from $20,000 to $90 million.

Lisa Ward maintains a national hospitality practice representing owners, operators, and receivers of hotels, resorts, condominiums, and restaurants. Her services encompass franchise negotiation, financing, loan workouts and restructuring, like-kind exchanges, and municipal-private ventures.

In her customized estate planning practice, Lisa uses trusts, wills, powers of attorney, living wills, charitable trusts and special needs trusts to assist families in transfer of wealth and end-of-life decisions. She represents clients in Medicaid qualification,  guardianship, conservatorship, and probate proceedings.

Raised in Wamego (KS), Lisa graduated summa cum laude from Washburn University School of Business and completed Washburn School of Law with Dean’s Honors and recognition as Washburn’s J.W. Pless Outstanding Senior for 1995. She was a Balfour Scholar nominee, Moot Court member, Washburn Law Journal research editor, Legislative Intern, and Kansas Bar Association representative. 

Lisa is a frequent speaker on the topics of business succession planning, estate planning, real estate development and title insurance. Active in non-profit work throughout Kansas, she is a board member of Kansas Children’s Service League, Hutchinson Community Foundation, Wamego Community Foundation, Manhattan Rotary Club, Wamego Technology Center and Ruby Slippers, Inc.  She is a member of Wamego and Manhattan Chamber of Commerce and Greater Manhattan Community Foundation Trustee.  Lisa is an alum of Flint Hills Leadership and Leadership Reno County.
